Join PSAYDN, in partnership with Pennsylvania School-Age Child Care Alliance (PENN SACCA) and Allegheny Partners for Out-of-School Time (APOST), for Afterschool and STEM Ambassador Advocacy Day.
Advocates including parents, program providers, youth, educators, faith-based leaders, community and business leaders from across the state will come together to highlight the importance of out-of-school time (OST) and STEM opportunities in our state.
The day will include breakfast and visits with legislators, STEM table displays and Rally on the Capitol Steps.

Important registration exception for Allegheny County attendees – APOST will be coordinating registration, meals and transportation for all Allegheny County afterschool stakeholders until Monday, April 20, 2020. Do not complete online registration; instead, email APOST and inform them you are attending Advocacy Day. APOST will contact you with further registration details. Starting Tuesday, April 21, 2020, Allegheny County attendees should register via the same registration link as non-Allegheny County attendees below.

Join PSAYDN Director Laura Saccente and Caroline Allen, PSAYDN coordinator, for an informative webinar on how to have successful legislative visits. Learn about the importance of being an advocate, acquire key messages and tips on communicating with legislators, and obtain information on how to follow up with legislators in their home district. In addition, information about the Advocacy Day agenda will be disseminated.
This webinar is recommended for those participating in Advocacy Day, but is open to anyone interested in effectively communicating with elected officials.
