PSAYDN’s 2017 Annual Partners’ Retreat – the only statewide retreat dedicated to a broad array of afterschool, out-of-school time (OST) and summer learning opportunities – provides a great opportunity for staff, advocates, educators, policymakers and partners to hear from OST education and youth development experts about policy development, coordination of quality initiatives and sustainability.

  • Learn intentional sustainability planning
  • Be a part of the planning process in developing state dedicated funding for OST
  • Connect with powerful business and workforce partners
  • Discover how to empower OST providers for policy change and leadership opportunities
  • Provide direct feedback to the governor’s administration, state agency officials and Afterschool Caucus staff on how to elevate OST in Pennsylvania
  • Learn how OST can be a resource in ESSA implementation
  • Serve as a stakeholder in quality conversations and updates
  • Network with leaders across the state
  • Find collaborative ways to partner with formal learning

Join us at the retreat and connect with stakeholders – state agency leaders, policymakers and business and industry partners, etc. – who can make substantive change in the afterschool field; be able to move forward with policy, quality and sustainability action items; be empowered to better understand your role in your afterschool field and take action; establish stable funding sources for your program; and forge strong bonds between your program and (in)formal education organizations and businesses.

Founded in 2004, PSAYDN is recognized as one of the 50 statewide afterschool networks and supports capacity-building and advocacy efforts for afterschool/summer learning opportunities in Pennsylvania. We provide support to over 2,600 members and our partners collectively support more than 320,000 children and youth participating in Pennsylvania’s afterschool programs. PSAYDN is generously supported by the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation, Pennsylvania Department of Education, Heinz Endowments and The Grable Foundation.
