STEM Next has funded a six-week virtual Pennsylvania afterschool makerspace and engineering project for 15 out-of-school time programs this summer. Participants of the Summer Academy will learn about and implement makerspace and engineering design curriculum for underserved middle school girls. PSAYDN will provide ongoing training and technical assistance as needed.
Successful applicants will be responsible to deliver the curriculum, host a culminating activity/event, and collect project data. In addition, resources, a stipend, and miscellaneous STEM supplies will be provided.
The application takes approximately 15 minutes and should be completed in one sitting. Applicants will receive a response by May 22, 2020, on their application status. Additional details on training date options will be provided at that time if accepted.
