PSAYDN employs an inclusive decision-making process with its membership through a committee structure, where input on strategy and goal direction is sought on a regular basis during network and committee meetings, and as deemed necessary by the Steering Committee.
PSAYDN Steering Committee represents the organizational partners in the Network’s leadership and provides oversight for the Network work plan, and the appropriate use of fiscal and administrative resources to ensure effective implementation.
The Policy and Communications Committee develops policy and funding initiatives in support of children, focused on afterschool and youth development activities, in partnership with the Network director and appropriate leaders at the federal, state and community level.
The Quality Committee is responsible for defining a statewide quality framework for afterschool and youth development programs including identifying and building consensus around a set of core quality principles necessary to all child-serving programs, without limiting flexibility and adaptability required for variances in student ages, interests, and program approaches.
The Sustainability Committee fosters the development of partnerships with stakeholder groups, as well as oversees the sustainability of the PSAYDN and Statewide Afterschool Programs.
When appropriate and necessary, ad-hoc committees may be formed.
If you are interested in serving on one of the Network’s committees, please contact PSAYDN Coordinator Caroline Allen to discuss possible opportunities.
