HARRISBURG, Pa., March 3, 2021 — PSAYDN announced the fourth cohort of the Pennsylvania STEM Ambassadors Program, which aims to shape the future of STEM education in the commonwealth by targeting vital policy conversations to legislative leadership in the areas of STEM Learning ecosystems, computer science, apprenticeships, state and federal policy for formal and informal education, and workforce needs.
PSAYDN has the opportunity through the STEM Next Opportunity Fund to provide free training and curriculum to interested afterschool programs. Contact PSAYDN for more information and to inform them of your interest in participating.
Engineering Mindsets with Girls @Home
Grades 4-8; one hour pre-recorded training; implement a minimum of eight lessons.
Engineering Mindsets with Technovation
Afterschool youth, specific girl and boy teams; one-hour training; 12-week curriculum to facilitate 2-3 hours per week for 3-4 months; access to Technovation resources; virtual coaching by Technovation; match with industry mentors through Technovation.
Engineering Mindsets with Televisa Foundation and TCLift
Middle school students; two 2-hour live virtual training; implement curriculum (25 hours total).
